BNI was started in January 1985 by Dr. Ivan R. Misner, Founder & CEO of Business Network Int'l. BNI allows only one person per profession to join a chapter and it is based upon the philosophy of "givers gain". It is like having dozens of sales people working for you. We all carry or have access to business cards from the other members and are eager to pass them to people who need their services. We come to know, like and trust the other members so we feel confident in passing referrals.
